Meghan and Prince Harry Could Not Attend Wedding, Congratulate Princess Beatrice

July 22, 2020 – The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were unable to attend the wedding of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi but made it a point to send their congratulations.

Last Friday, Princess Beatrice married long-time boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi- after having postponed their wedding due to COVID closures. The private ceremony was held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor. The wedding, which Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip attended, was a small gathering of only 22 “close” guests. Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are also said to have been in attendance.

The former Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Baby Archie were not in attendance as the royal couple is currently residing in Los Angeles. People magazine, however, reported that although the Duke and Duchess were not in attendance, they did send their best wishes, privately of course.

According to a source close to the royal couple, Markle and Prince Harry called Beatrice the day before to wish them luck, “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry didn’t attend the wedding but they did call Beatrice beforehand to wish her good luck,” said the source. Interestingly enough, Prince William and Kate Middleton were not in attendance either.
