The Wilderness Foundation UK offers programs in the UK and throughout parts of Europe to harness the power of the wilderness to enhance the lives of vulnerable teenagers. Their various educational programs aim to empower and produce the world’s future sustainability leaders. This incredible organization touches the lives of over 6,000 teenagers a year dealing with challenging lives and mental health issues. What is really unique about this organization is their hands-on approach to education. For example, their Chatham Green Project is a 400-acre living classroom. The Wilderness Foundation is also incredibly inclusive; for example,  The ‘Down to Earth’ allotment project educates people with disabilities and mental health problems to grow their own food.

To get involved you do not necessarily have to be in the UK or Europe. The organization has several ways you can contribute, click HERE to learn more. To read about the amazing work that The Wilderness Foundation UK is doing be sure to visit them online HERE.
