Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating Prince Harry’s 36th birthday in a very special way. It was announced today, that the famous couple has donated $130,000 to the African girls education charity, CAMFED.
The organization focuses on transforming women’s lives through higher education across the continent of Africa. The charity holds a special place in Markle’s heart as she spoke on a panel for the organization during last year’s International Women’s Day.

The couple announced the six-figure donation via CAMFED’s twitter account, stating: “No better way to celebrate what really matters. Thank you to everyone who donated, Harry and Meghanâ€

The couple chose to match the amount ($129,000) fundraised solely online and by Meghan Markle fans a.k.a: “Sussex Squadâ€. The fundraising campaign, which got its’ start July 25th, even has its own page on the CAMFED website where you can still donate by visiting here. The incredibly successful event was fueled by the hashtags #InspiredbyMeghan and #InspiredbyHarry which we will definitely be using in the future.
