In the new book, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, Royal biographers, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand confirm the dog’s name is: Pula.
Pula, is the official currency of Botswana. Botswana is a very special place for Meghan and Harry as it is where they had their third date. The Royal couple camped under the stars and fell in love. It is also the place that Prince Harry took Meghan Markle for her 36th birthday. The word Pula, is also Setswana for “rain”. Rain is rare in Botswana, therefore considered rather valuable; when it does rains, it is cherished as a blessing.
